Cloud Killer Devlog #3
Hello Everyone!
This week, the team has put a lot of thought and effort into devising how stealth will work in our game. The angels that you encounter will try to find you, but if you stay out of their sight lines you can sneak past without being spotted. You’ll need to move carefully and hide behind cover to avoid them and fight your way to heaven.
Here’s a sneak peek at the technology we’re using for the vision cones. Each enemy can independently determine if you’re in or out of their line of sight by checking the player’s position and determining if there are any solid objects hiding them. You’ll be able to see exactly where enemies are looking and then use the terrain to get past them. We’re excited to experiment with this mechanic to make the angels you encounter a deadly challenge to overcome. Look forwards to our first playtest of the new stealth mechanics and ‘Caves’ level soon!

In other aspects of production we have retextured our disguise model:

We have also made the block-out for the 'Cave' level in Unity and started populating the space with props and environment assets.

More updates soon!
